GIS Military Heritage: Architecture, Planning, Techniques and Society
The purpose of the GIS Military Heritage P2ATS is to federate the work and projects of a large community of students, teacher-researchers, archaeologists, museum curators and research teams, united by a common interest in military heritage from Antiquity to the present day. It aims to relay their initiatives, present the latest news of their work and research and promote the implementation of good practices for the conservation, rehabilitation and enhancement of military heritage. Since its foundation in 2019, the GIS has already organized several conferences, study days for young researchers, videoconference cycles and supported the actions of its many doctoral students.
Led by the Histara EA 7347 team at the École Pratique des Hautes Études, the GIS P2ATS brings together in 2021, 19 institutions, laboratories, research centers and museums, with about 75 full members and 40 young researchers whose projects, initiatives and research topics cover broad approaches and territories (Europe, Asia, America) conducive to a renewal of issues through the cross-fertilization of historical theories and practices, architectural, territorial and heritage.
