The University of Paris Sciences et Lettres plays a major role in organizing and promoting an innovation ecosystem. For more than 10 years, it has stimulated the creation of companies and promoted fundamental or applied research in all disciplines.
Developing the culture of innovation
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department serves all PSL research teams, based on the principles of proximity, responsiveness and risk sharing, contributing to:
- the identification and protection of intellectual property with support for researchers in all their procedures;
- the development of agreements with institutions to allow the transfer of intellectual property rights to PSL, and the filing of patents in the name of PSL and the institutions concerned;
- the financing and support of pre-maturation and maturation projects to establish technical and economic proofs of concept;
- support for the creation of innovative companies.
For the entrepreneur-researcher or student
PSL supports the development of projects. Research teams can choose from among the valorization of their work by relying on the valorization services of research organizations and institutions.
At the heart of their job, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department supports researchers and students in the creation of start-ups, providing comprehensive support or referral to one of the departments within organizations or other institutions.
