Student entrepreneurship

Whether you have a project or simply have ideas for a future business initiative, students or young graduates you can benefit from one of the four adapted, rich and diversified support programs to develop your project/idea.

Leaders can collaborate with laboratories or PSL researchers, and be supported by mentor-entrepreneurs in order to move forward with their project/idea within a dynamic team. The EPHE mentor will guide you through the process, as well as the PSL-Pépite cluster, a hub dedicated to student entrepreneurs in the PSL community. By joining the Pépite network, you will obtain the National Status of Student-Entrepreneur. Discover the companies participating in the scheme on PSL Student Companies.

Apneal

Guillaume Cathelain, doctor EPHE, co-founder and CTO of the start-up Apneal

Created in 2021, Apneal offers advanced sleep apnea screening. The start-up has won several awards in France, including the first innovation prize at the Congrès de l'Encéphale 2022, and the Data and AI trophy at the MedInTechs 2022 trade show.

Sleep apnea affects more than 900 million people worldwide and 80% go undiagnosed. After cancer, diabetes and coronary heart disease, it has the most medico-economic impact in Western societies. Apneal aims to revolutionize the screening of SAHS (Apnea Hypopnea Sleep Syndrome), by offering doctors, sleep specialists or not, a routine examination with only the patient's smartphone as a device.
