The EPHE-PSL Open Science Barometer
The EPHE-PSL Open Science Barometer is a variation of the French Open Science Barometer. It makes it possible to measure the rates and evolution of open access to publications by EPHE - PSL scientific staff according to various indicators: rate and channels of open access, disciplines, publishers, open archives.
Data was collected in December 2021 for the 2017-2021 publication period. The calculations were carried out on the corpus of scientific productions assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and indexed in three databases: Web of Science, Scopus and HAL.
The results provide an overall view that should be contextualized, particularly for the humanities and social sciences:
- some disciplines favor print publication (such as the humanities);
- there are online scientific publications in Open Access (OA) with an identifier other than the DOI;
- several OA online journals with DOI are not indexed by the major bibliometric databases used by the barometer.
